ALBARIÑO 2019 - Released May 15!
TASTING NOTES
Enticing with lifted floral notes on the nose followed by lemon, grapefruit and orange pith, our fifth vintage of single varietal Albariño is mostly from our home vineyard (69%) on the Naramata Bench with 31% from Gravelbourg vineyard in Oliver, balancing bright fruits and riper flavours.
The palate excites with light melon, citrus and pear juiciness. The finish lingers and refreshes with a backbone of mineral and slate. Try Gambas a la plancha or Pacific oysters and squeeze of lemon.
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Albariño was picked at the opportune time to showcase the bright fruit flavours and refreshing acidity. The grapes were gently whole cluster pressed and then cool fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatics.

91 Points, Treve Ring, Gismondi on Wine, Tasted June 2020
One of BC's best rarities, this albariño is predominantly from Terravista's home vineyard (69%) on the Naramata Bench, with 31% coming from Oliver's Gravelbourg vineyard. After a whole cluster press and cool ferment in stainless, this remained in steel to preserve the fresh aromatics. Longtime cult winery Terravista has been passed to new stewards now, with Eric and Dallas Thor the new owners, and Nadine Allander the winemaker. Lime pith, white peach, nectarine rule the fleshy palate, carved with a crunchy pear acidity and buoyed with a joyous acidity to a spiced finish. The grape is well suited to BC, as proven by this 5th vintage.
