FANDANGO 2020 - Released May 21, 2021!

Our blend of two white grape varieties, Albariño and Verdejo. The only wine of these grapes produced in Canada! Our 10th vintage of Fandango is composed of Albariño (56%) and Verdejo (44%), both estate grown at our Lone Hand Ranch vineyard (Sub GI label). Tough granitic soils of glacial origin characterize the vineyard. 


Citrus, with tropical fruit, melon and green herbal notes on the nose. Medium body with an invigorating, bright palate and pinch of ginger spice. Forever richer than the sum of its two parts, our 10th anniversary of this Naramata Bench wine would pair well with Crispy Pork Belly and Padron Pintxos with Lemon Zest.


The grapes were hand-picked, gently whole cluster pressed and cool fermented separately in stainless steel. In steel for 7 months with partial malolactic fermentation.

2020 marks the 10th anniversary of Fandango, and this year the singular Canadian albariño / verdejo is a 56/44 split, all off their Naramata Bench Lone Hand estate's granitic soils. Whole cluster grapes were fermented by variety in stainless, with partial MLF and 7 months rest there before blending. Quite fruit-forward this year, with ample fragrant melon, pineapple rind, lime blossom, and gooseberry on an expansive, just off-dry palate. This is a richer vintage of Fandango, capable of taking on fuller proteins (like sablefish) and flavours (like Thai green curries).
