FANDANGO Naramata Bench 2024 -
New Release
Naramata Bench Sub GI
58% Albariño and 42% Verdejo
TASTING NOTES
Bright and expressive, the nose opens with white blossom and citrus peel. On the palate, its all about freshness - lemon, pink grapefruit and white peach wash across a mineral frame. Crisp acidity keeps the citrus flavours lifted and as it opens up fresh stone fruit lingers on the finish. Clean, focused and quietly complex speaking to this tiny amount of fruit off of Lone Hand Ranch. The style is remarkably BC, absolutely Naramata and 100% Terravista.
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Hand-harvested on October 8th, 2024 into only 2 fruit bins from the original planting on the Naramata Bench. This harvest represented the only fruit off our 19 acres in a year of severe crop loss. Albariño and Verdejo were pressed together and co-fermented, cool, in stainless steel tanks until dry. Aged in steel, with lees stirring.

’Tis a white joint that invokes Spain in two ways, of albariño (58 percent) and verdejo, as if Rias Baixas and Rueda had a B.C. child. Intense, vivid, all in tang and tart stone fruit. Peaches and especially nectarines with a squeeze of lime. Salty at its moments and quenching. Satisfying. Improving with each sip.
