Introducing Bobby Ercego
The rhythms of the seasons have been a natural part of Bobby’s life for as long as he can remember, he truly is a farmer at heart. Growing up on his family’s vineyards in Kaleden BC, Bobby has lived in the South Okanagan his entire life, this is where his passion for viticulture was sparked. After experimenting with winemaking in his dad’s garage, he came to realize that the magic begins in the vineyard.
He pursued a viticulture course at Okanagan College in 2010 and dove into work as soon as he finished. He began working for local wineries; namely Blasted Church, The Hatch, and Play Estate where he was able to help establish and maintain flourishing vineyards. In more recent years Bobby’s experience is with larger scale vineyard management companies, including Earlco Vineyards, where he was able to try his hand at different techniques on a wide variety of sites.
“Working with the vines on a daily basis is the best way to manage and learn the characteristics of a vineyard”.
Bobby has a hands-on approach in the vineyard and enjoys the continuation and practice that comes with farming and viticulture. Always ready to learn, he is consistently bringing new and innovative ideas to the table. He is excited to be working with the unique varietals at Terravista and the challenges they present.
