WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The Mencía (men-THEE-ah) grapes from Naramata Outlook Vineyard were hand harvested on September 17th with 1 hour of skin contact and then directly, and gently pressed. Fermented in 60% steel and 40% neutral barrels and then aged in steel and neutral french oak barrels.

The only planting of Mencía in all of Canada and grown on a clay bluff overlooking Okanagan Lake. We planted two blocks in the heat dome of 2021, and the vines have been spending the last 5 years growing and in 2025 we were able to harvest on two separate dates to capture a rose and also a red.

Food Pairing - Barbeque, pan-seared trout tartines on rye bread during picnics under the Spanish sun.
